Fallon Family Counseling, PLLC is a one woman show established in 2020 when I was re-thinking my career plans for the future. I had been working at a local high school and enjoyed it, but always felt that I could not work with families the same way I would be able to in private practice.
ANGELA FALLON
My journey towards becoming a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker started when I was in undergraduate school at Gordon College. I spent time traveling and reflecting on the world and was struck by the amount of need and lack of support children and families experienced navigating everyday life. I initially wanted to be an art teacher, but these experiences re-directed my focus. I graduated with a Bachelors in Art, which still influences and inspires my clinical work, and went on to pursue a Masters in Social Work at Simmons College. I graduated in 2009 and went directly to work in community mental health in Lawrence, MA. That time gave me invaluable cross cultural experience and provided me with some of my most important and foundational clinical experiences. I then spent time working in foster care, adoption and juvenile justice where I worked with children and families who experienced multi-generational trauma, substance use, attachment concerns and other mental health challenges. My most recent work has been focused on anxiety, which has become prolific among children and families causing debilitating challenges. In 2022, I also completed an 18 month training in Child Parent Psychotherapy, a dyadic therapy focused on children who have experienced trauma during their early years. I have become passionate about supporting families through anxiety, trauma, and depression and helping them improving their daily life.
